There is about 30 cm of snow at Pyhä area and first slopes have been opened.

Note that the online registration is open and the number of participants is limited due to space limitations at the symposium venue. We recommend you to register early to avoid disappointment.

29^th May 2008: More lectures to participate

Professor Simin Nikbin Meydani, Nutritional Immunology Laboratory, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, Tufts University, Boston, USA will give a presentation about "Nutrition and inflammation in aging"

Professor Michel Schemann, Department of Human Biology, Technical University Munich, Germany will give a lecture of gut-brain axi's and professor Philip Calder from Development Origins of Health and Disease, School of Medicine, University of Southampton, UK will give a speech about pro- and anti-inflammatory role of fatty acids.

20^th May 2008: More lectures confirmed

Professor Pentti Huovinen from Bacterial and Inflammatory diseases, National Public Health Institute,Finland will give the introduction to the theme of the First Nutrition Winterschool. Professor Arya Sharma from Cardiovascular Obesity Research and Management, University of Alberta, Canada and Dr. Kirsi Pietiläinen from The Obesity Research Unit, Helsinki University Central Hospital, Finland will give lectures on Obesity session.

Professor Valerie Schini-Kerth, Université Louis Pasteur de Strasbourg, France will give a lecture of oxidative stress.

Dr. Ben van Ommen from The European Nutrigenomics Organisation, Netherlands and Dr. Marjukka Kolehmainen from The Food and Health Research Centre, University of Kuopio, Finland wll give lectures about nutrigenomics.

17^th April 2008: First lectures confirmed

Professor Petri Kovanen from Wihuri Reseaerch Insitute Helsinki, Finland and professor Eero Mervaala from University of Helsinki, Finland will give lectures on "Cardiovascular disease day". Profesor Ulrich Klotz from Dr. Margarete Fischer-Bosch-Institute für Klinische Pharmakologie, Stuttgart, Germany and Dr. Michael Schultz from Otago Medical School New Zealand will give lecture on "Gut and inflammation day"
